SEC 16 / THE CADRE
SET THE STANDARD.
Drill Zero is built by veterans who want to make a difference for the next generation joining the Guard.
PAID CADRE POSITIONS · SATURDAY, 25 JUL 2026 · GREENVILLE, SC
SEC 17 / WHAT THIS IS
The drill before your first drill.
Every one of us went through the pipeline. The recruiter’s office, the ASVAB, MEPS, Basic. And every one of us remembers the same thing: how much we did not know, and how much better it would have gone if someone who had already done it had sat us down first.
That is the whole idea. Drill Zero is a free, veteran-built program that preps people for the Army National Guard before they ever sign. We get them squared away, physically, mentally, and on paper, so they walk into their recruiter ready and show up to Basic sharper than the person next to them. The recruiter’s job is to recruit. Ours is to bridge the gap they do not have the time to fill. We are not recruiters, we do not replace them, and we are not the Guard.
- TRAIN Drills and Schoolhouse sessions: physical fitness, drill and ceremony, customs and courtesies, and the knowledge, taught by people who have lived it. Plus a free online Schoolhouse anyone can study from.
- BRIDGE A tool recruiters rely on. They hand off a prospect and get back someone prepared. That saves them time and gets them better candidates.
- GROW Word of mouth from the people we prep, our own outreach, and getting in front of the community. This is year one of a long build.
- BUILD You are the founding Cadre. The program is only as real as the people who run it, and right now that is you.
SEC 18 / THE ROLE
What you would do, and what you get.
Two roles, and they come together. One person can do both. Tell us where you fit.
- CADRE You run the training and mentor recruits: PT, drill and ceremony, customs, the knowledge. This is the core.
- OUTREACH You bring the right people into the program: networking, community, spreading the word.
What you get.
- PAID $150 to $250 per drill or Schoolhouse session you lead. You are an independent contractor, and we get the paperwork right.
- VOICE Founding Cadre shape how this runs. Your voice counts more now than it ever will again.
- IMPACT Better people into service, and support for the ones already in. This is a community, not a gig.
What we ask.
- SERVED You have served or are serving now. This is not a role for someone who has not been in yet.
- STANDARD Current knowledge, reliability on what you commit to, and the standard you hold recruits to, held first by you.
